Hook and Loop’s expertise lies in integrating content and design to create powerful marketing tools for small businesses and non-profit organisations.
With over 7 years’ experience running our previous agency, Two Dozen, Moz Nugent and Sarah Gazia have launched Hook and Loop to provide an all-in-one solution for organisations that need professional content and design.
Why integrated content and design?
Working with many small business clients at Two Dozen, we found that website projects in particular seemed to hit a hurdle when it came time for clients to supply copy to put in their newly created web pages. This was due to a number of factors including:
- Lack of time, particularly for those businesses without a dedicated in-house marketing resource
- Lack of expertise in writing copy
- Lack of confidence in what to write and how to write it.
While a number of website companies in our local market offer to ‘hook’ customers up with freelance web copywriters to help develop their web content, aside from the largest full service marketing agencies, there were few options for small to medium sized businesses if they wanted an integrated solution for developing professional marketing content and design.
Hook and Loop was born to bring consumers a ‘one stop shop’ for their professional marketing tools, with content and design included.
We don’t just do websites. We create integrated content and design for:
- White papers
- Customer magazines
What’s with the name?
For those who don’t know their haberdashery, Hook and Loop (often known by its brand name Velcro in Australia), is a fastening material consist of two components. The first component features tiny hooks; the second features even smaller and “hairier” loops. When the two components are pressed together, the hooks catch in the loops and the two pieces fasten or bind temporarily during the time that they are pressed together, essentially becoming one object until such time as they are ripped apart. Some models of Hook and Loop are incredibly strong, with a 5cm square piece being able to support the weight of an average sized adult.
We see content and design as the two essential components in creating great marketing. While they have their own separate uses, it’s only when you integrate them that you experience their full strength and ‘stickability’!
